CTYI Speaker Series - 2024

The CTYI Summer Speakers Series is an annual event hosted on DCU’s St Patrick’s campus by DCU’s Centre for Talented Youth. It sees former students of the programme come back to DCU to speak about their time in CTYI, their careers and to connect with the current class.

Christine Bohan

Christine is the Deputy Editor of news site The Journal. She has also worked for The Guardian, The Irish Times and The Sunday Tribune. She holds a degree in Sociology and Social Policy from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters’ in Journalism from DCU.

She is the co-author of The Last Disco: The Story of the Stardust Tragedy with Sean Murray and Nicky Ryan.

Dr Lisa McNamee

Lisa is a medical officer in the Irish Defence Forces and the co-founder of Space Medicine Ireland.

She completed her undergraduate arts degree in Trinity College Dublin, medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and obtained her Masters’ degree from University College Dublin.
