Staff Card Information

Procedure for obtaining Staff ID Cards during COVID-19 Restrictions

When & Where can I get an ID Card? (when on campus)
 

ID cards are issued daily at DCU Main Reception between the following times:

  • 9.30 a.m. - 10.30 a.m.
  • 11.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
  • 3.30 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.
     

New members of Staff

For verification purposes, new members of staff will be asked to produce a form of photo id/birth certificate in order for the
Staff ID Card to be issued to them.
 

Contractors/Visitors

(Who have business on campus and need access to facilities e.g. Visiting lecturer who requires access to the Library)

Contractors and Visitors are required to have a DCU Identification Card in order to be able to access and use appropriate
DCU facilities. The DCU ID Card is available from the Human Resources Department. Please note, however, that for verification
purposes, Contractors and Visitors to the University will be asked to produce the following in order for the ID card to be issued
to them.
 

  • DCU ID Request Form
  • Photo ID e.g. passport or driving licence

The ID Form is available from the Estates Office and the HR Department or by clicking on DCU ID Request Form.doc 
Before the ID can be issued the Contractor / Visitor must fill out the DCU ID Request Form and get it signed and stamped by the
relevant Administrator/Manager from the School/Unit.
 

Car Park Access

Once issued, new ID Cards will give automatic access to Car Park 2 and Car Park 3. Full details of the Car Parking policy can be

Swipe Access to Buildings

Should you require swipe access to a particular building, please contact your School/Unit secretary who will in turn contact the
Estates Office to activate your card. (The School secretary will need the 13 digit number on the bottom right corner of your card).
Staff are asked not to contact the Estates Office directly.
