Faculty of Science and Health Postgraduate Research Accommodation Scholarship 2024/25

The Faculty of Science and Health is pleased to announce that one accommodation scholarship is to be awarded to a postgraduate research student to live in DCU accommodation for the academic year 2024/25. If you are interested in applying for this competition, please complete the application form below.

Applications will be reviewed by the Associate Dean for Research and the Executive Dean. The deadline for receipt of applications is 12:00 noon on Friday, 3rd May 2024. Terms and Conditions for this award are listed at the end of this form.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- The award of the Postgraduate Accommodation Scholarship is for a single room in the Postgraduate Residences. However, if there is a requirement for a double occupancy room then the value of this Single Room Scholarship can be used to offset the cost of a double room in Campus Residences subject to availability. Please note that there are a limited number of rooms suitable for double occupancy currently available on campus and all such rooms still involve sharing kitchen/living facilities with other students. Please contact Campus Residences directly in all cases to discuss the availability of these rooms. Applies to academic year 2024/25 ONLY.

- The award cannot be transferred between students; the unit reverts to the Faculty/Access service if a student does not take up residence or stay the full time period.
The award is for accommodation in the Postgraduate Residences only – there is no monetary equivalent.

- In the instance where a suitable candidate is not identified, the Faculty Management Board may decide not to make an award in which case the GSO should be notified.

- Campus Residences will provide all residents with an occupancy license, Terms & Conditions and a welcome handbook. Sample copies of the Terms & Condition, handbook and detailed FAQs are on the Campus Residences website (details of a booking damage cancellation deposit and an energy/utilities deposit to be made by residents at the start of the year are included).
