The LIU has responsibility supporting and promoting teaching and learning across the University, including:

• professional development of academic staff with respect to pedagogy and learning technology;
• development and implementation of the Learning Innovation Strategic Plan and educational policy;
• research on, and introduction of, new pedagogical approaches;
• collaboration with other institutions on teaching and learning initiatives; and 
• participation in DCU committees and working groups.
