Turnitin Similarity - Supporting Academic Integrity

As part of our approach towards enhancing academic integrity Loop incorporates the use of Turnitin Similarity, DCU's text matching service. When lecturers choose to enable it on Loop Assignment activities, students' text submissions are analysed by Turnitin Similarity for similarity to other sources.

This text matching solution searches the internet and checks if the text within the student submission is available anywhere on the internet, as well as comparing with other documents submitted to DCU's text matching archive.
