This workshop introduces participants to the foundations of effective assessment and feedback design. We will discuss key concepts such as scaffolding, assessment for/of/as learning, and summative / formative assessment. The workshop takes a holistic view of assessment and we will look at assessment design at the modular and programme level. While ideal for lecturers starting out, the workshop could also be a useful refresher for experienced lecturers.
