DCU graduate, Angela Cooney, offering Executive Coaching to Alumni Community

Angela Cooney is a graduate of the Bachelor of Business Studies at DCU. Since graduating from   this in 1994, Angela has worked in the Information Technology (IT) sector in global roles in Asia,   USA and Europe as a strategic partner and account manager, developing business partnerships   with many of the world’s largest enterprise organisations. She currently works as Enterprise   Sales Consultant at Oracle.

Recalling her favourite memory of her time as a DCU student, Angela highlights her graduation   day, “being supported by fellow students and our families, as we celebrated our undergraduate   degree achievement and looked with optimism to future opportunities. It was a very special   day.”

Angela also has a keen interest in mentoring and business coaching. She holds her strongest career highlights to the “hugely supportive leaders” that have mentored her, saying that they have “enabled global roles that have enriched me professionally and personally.”

Having recently completed her post-graduate Diploma in Business Executive Coaching, Angela is volunteering a number of executive coaching hours to the DCU Alumni community. This is an opportunity for graduates who may wish to find their own way forward, reach their potential and gain clarity on their goals with a vision to succeed.

“The benefits I have experienced from receiving coaching are perhaps more along aligning my values and beliefs to my career choices and I’ve certainly experienced enhanced levels of awareness, personal responsibility, self-confidence and self-reliance professionally.”

Due to Covid-19, the executive coaching sessions will take place virtually. They will be 1:1, kicking off with a clarity call or email to discuss openly what the coachee wants from coaching, to ensure that there is an understanding and agreements of expectations.
