Football Brunch Attendees

All-Ireland Football Final Brunch Returns

A sea of green and gold, and maroon and white donned DCU St. Patrick’s Campus on Sunday, 24th July ahead of the clash between Kerry and Galway in the All-Ireland Football Final. Our Football Final Brunch was filled with excitement and nerves between our graduates, parent’s of players, staff members and university friends in attendance. We celebrated four graduates representing Galway in the final:

  • Rob Finnerty (Professional Masters in Education)
  • Sean Fitzgerald (Bachelor of Education)
  • Patrick Kelly (PE with Maths)
  • Billy Mannion (Joint Honours)

We also had a graduate in Éanna Ó Conchúir (PE with Biology) representing Kerry in the squad.

Our exceptional match panel was made up of Roscommon Footballer, Ultan Harney, Anthony Finnerty, who is the Father of Galway Footballer and DCU alumnus, Rob Finnerty, and Pat O’Sullivan, cheering for the Kingdom. Led by DCU alumnus and RTÉ Broadcaster, Barry Lenihan (BA Journalism), the panel spoke through their thoughts on the form of each team, forecasted tactics for the match, and their all-important prediction for the final whistle.
