Class of 1975 50th Reunion

The St Patrick’s College Class of 1975 gathered on St Patrick’s Campus for their 50th Anniversary Celebration. With over 100 in attendance, classmates traveled from all over Ireland to reunite once again as a class.

The event started with mass in the St Patrick’s Chapel including a choir organised by Mary Fallon Synnott. The choir met several times over the course of the year preparing for the mass, both virtually and in person. The mass started with welcome remarks from Director of Alumni Relations, Ross Munnelly, Executive Dean of the Institute of Education, Prof Anne Looney, and remarks from President Dáire Keogh.

After mass, the class moved to the quad for a welcome reception. They were able to recreate photos from their time in the college, reminisce and tell stories, and catch up on the time since their last reunion. The reception concluded with a class photo on the Cregan Library Steps after getting a chance to see the Cregan Library.

Lastly, the class concluded their evening on St Patrick’s College Campus with a 3-course dinner in the restaurant. The Alumni Office was delighted to host the group on campus and a special thanks to Mark Cunningham and Marian Lawlor for the work they did as the organising committee for the class of 1975.
