Clare Gormley

Clare Gormley is an Academic Developer with DCU Teaching Enhancement Unit who has worked in digital education since 1996.  She is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA) and a Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association (FSEDA). Clare has an MSc in Applied eLearning and has worked with faculty from multiple disciplines to collaboratively design online and blended learning experiences. An enthusiast and advocate of ABC Learning Design, she co-led the Erasmus+ ABC to VLE project at DCU. She has also published in a range of peer-reviewed journals on innovative professional learning in higher education and is currently undertaking an EdD in Digital Learning exploring Challenge Based Learning.

Dr Fiona O'Riordan

Dr Fiona O’Riordan works as an Academic Developer in the Teaching Enhancement Unit at DCU and a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA).  Her Ed.D research was on Curriculum Development: Investigating Practice and Discourse. Fiona’s current research areas include innovative teaching, learning and assessment, in particular Challenge Based Learning. She represents DCU in the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) where they are piloting CBL. In addition Fiona researches assessment design to promote academic integrity. With Dr Gillian Lake she is a DCU representative on the National Academic Integrity Network and is currently investigating Awareness of Academic Integrity across all DCU stakeholders (SATLE funded project).
