Making new contacts and exploring new opportunities is essential for any individual or business. DCU Alumni and Invent are delighted to invite you to an evening of speed networking where you will learn some practical tips on how to network effectively.
'Master your Networking Skills' with Geraldine Lavin
Networking, correctly utilised, can have a significant impact on business development, customer growth, market share through contact and alliance building. At the start of the evening, participants will be introduced to key networking concepts, including:
• What is business networking?
• What are the blockers?
• How do you prepare to network?
• Tips for practical networking skills
Following this, you will be provided with the opportunity to put your new skills into practice with a speed networking session where you will have a series of 3 minute one-to-one meetings with a wide variety of individuals and companies to help you build your network of new business contacts.
About Geraldine Lavin
Geraldine Lavin is a founding director of 3rd i IT and Business Services Ltd (www.3rdi.ie) and a business consultant and trainer with over 15 years experience providing innovative business solutions to private and public sector organisations. She also lectures part-time at DCU and DIT. Having always been a strong proponent in the power of networking, Geraldine had the privilege of training in networking skills under Tricia Murphy, aka the Networking Queen.
