Reference Management Tools
Reference Management Tools allow users to easily cite and reference when doing assignments by creating an account and saving references. Although referencing management tools save a huge amount of time, it is still extremely important to know how to reference.
When using referencing tools, particularly the likes of Mendeley / Zotero please use Harvard Cite Them Write output style if you are required to use Harvard style referencing.
Zotero
Zotero is a free reference management software. At the most basic level, Zotero is a citation manager. It is designed to store, manage, and cite bibliographic references, such as books and articles. In Zotero, each of the references you enter constitutes an item. Each item contains data (“Metadata”) about the reference. When opened, Zotero displays 3 columns.
Here is a DCU Library Guide - Zotero to help you.
Mendeley
Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research
