DCU library is proud to host an exhibition featuring a selection of Children’s Books Ireland Book Of The Year Award winners.

Children's Books Ireland Exhibition

Presented annually by Children's Books Ireland since 1990 and known as the Bisto Book of the Year Awards until 2011, the awards were named the Children's Book Ireland Book of the Year Awards until 2020 when a new title sponsor saw the name change to the KPMG Children's Books Ireland Awards.

The exhibition, displayed on the ground floor of Cregan library highlights the creativity of Irish Authors & Illustrators who have shaped children's literature over the decades.

In 2021, Children’s Books Ireland partnered with Dublin City University’s Library to transfer their collection of over 4000 beautiful examples of children’s literature into our care. 

 

The Children’s Books Ireland collection can be consulted in the Special Collections & Archives reading room in the O’Reilly Library in Glasnevin.
