Join us for Library Orientation from September 7th to 17th!

Come explore our three libraries and find out what services, spaces, and resources we have to offer. We've got guided tours, onsite support, free book events, a scavenger hunt, biking challenge, human fruit machines and plenty of freebies! Don't miss out!

Library Tours

Monday 7th - Thursday 10th September

Our library tours will help you find your way around, introducing you to the services and facilities at DCU Library. This will give you a better idea of the support and resources that are available, which can benefit you in your studies and research. A fantastic way to know your Library from day one!

Each tour will take 15-20 minutes.

Everyone gets a free scratch card with a guaranteed prize, don’t miss your chance to win while exploring the library (while stocks last)!

There's no need to book, just turn up about 5 minutes before the start of the tour.

7th - 10th September
Cregan Library: 12pm
O’Reilly Library: 11am and 1pm
Woodlock Hall Library: 2pm

Bike Challenge

Wednesday 16th September, O'Reilly Library 12 -2pm

Come and have a go if you think you're fast enough!

Cycle on our stationery bikes as fast as you can for 2 minutes, the person who travels the farthest will win a €25 Londis gift voucher!

Wednesday 9th September, 12pm - 2pm

Take some time to sit down and relax in O'Reilly Library or Cregan Library with the help of some free books, coffee and tea!

Join us in the lounge on the ground floor of the O'Reilly Library, or the foyer of Cregan Library, and choose from a great selection of fiction and non-fiction books.

Browse through the titles on offer over coffee and tea and chat to other book-lovers.

We’ve hidden 10 icons in total: 6 library icons at key service points in O’Reilly and Cregan Libraries, and 4 owl icons across our brand‑new website.

Use the clues, track down the icons, and take part in both scavenger hunts:

Find a physical icon in either library and bring it to the Help Desk to claim your €10 Londis voucher.
