Open Research

Citizen Science is a dynamic and inclusive approach to research and exploration across diverse disciplines.

From ecology to astronomy, health sciences to humanities, this collaborative methodology empowers every member of society to contribute valuable data and insights.

It is one of the 8 stated ambitions of the EU's Open Science Policy.

At DCU, we are committed to fostering Citizen Science initiatives across the University, including active engagement with society, such as with community organisations or vulnerable and/or marginalised groups.

Below are a selection of projects and areas of the University currently engaging in this practice.
