The Teaching Enhancement Unit was delighted to host DCU’s Teaching and Learning Day on Friday 16th September 2016. This was an inaugural event resulting in a warm response from colleagues together with large numbers attending on the day.
The theme was to explore the range of assessment and feedback approaches being initiated throughout DCU. How do staff respond to achieving approaches of assessment and of learning in an increasingly diverse learning environment and with large numbers of students?
To what extent are current forms of assessment and feedback working and what practices need to be redesigned? The event got underway with a student panel where questions and open discussion ensued of how assessment and feedback is experienced by DCU students.
This was followed by a number of parallel workshop sessions where engaging discussion and dissemination of practice was openly shared among DCU staff. The event got underway with a student panel where questions and open discussion ensued of how assessment and feedback is experienced by DCU students.
